Hotel California, Champoluc 
Highly amusing hotel, with each of the 12 rooms dedicated to a singer. Choose from Janis Joplin, the Byrds, Gram Parsons, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, CSN and Young, Marshall Tucker Band, Doors, Grateful Dead, Elvis Presley, John Denver and Sandy Denny and enjoy the music they produced on tap. The hotel has a large lively bar (busy at weekends) and disco in the sound-proof basement (only normally open on Friday and Saturday) for those still with energy after a hard day on the slopes. Ah, the slopes: the hotel is close to them – it’s less than a 5 minute walk to the Frachey lift.
