Privacy Policy

BCM complies with the 1998 Data Protection Act. This policy describes the types of information BCM collects from its users and how that information is used. Data Collection

Unregistered users
We log your IP address in order to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our website and track usage statistics. Your IP address may vary each time you visit, or it may be the same, depending on whether you access our site through cable modem or DSL, or through a dial-up connection. It is very difficult to identify users through an IP address, and we make no attempt to do so. If you reached our site via a link or ad on another site, we also log that information in order to better understand the general interests of our users. This information is collected and used only in the aggregate; that is, it is entered into a database, where we can use it to generate overall reports on visitors to the BCM site, but not reports about individual visitors.

In accordance with standard practice, we also place a small file known as a "cookie" on your computer's hard drive. This allows us to track your path through the website and gives us information we can use to improve our service. Cookies contain no personally identifiable information that would allow us to identify you, and can not be used to read data off of your hard drive. You can follow procedures specific to your web browser and set your browser to refuse cookies, but this may reduce the quality of the service we, along with other sites, can provide you.

If you reached the site via a link from one of our partners, and you have registered with that partner, then certain information about you that you have provided to that partner may be transmitted to us. You should review the privacy policy of the relevant website to determine what information was collected and how you agreed that our partner could use that information.

However, regardless of what information was transmitted to us we neither keep it or use it.

Use of Registration Data
When using your personal information BMC will act in accordance with current legislation and aim to meet current Internet best practice.

If you register on the BCM site in order to enter any competitions and surveys we feature, in addition to the generic information collected from non-registered users, we will collect the small amount of personal information that we request you enter in the registration form, such as name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, travel preferences, user name and password. Registration details will be passed onto our partner, Opodo.co.uk. This will be done in accordance with this policy, but we cannot control how our partner uses the information. If you have questions about our partner's privacy policy, you should review their policy before providing information to us.

In addition, users have the option to proactively request material from our partners, for example, to register for opt-in newsletters and notifications of special offers.

You may opt-out of any or all marketing communications at any time.

If you are notified that your information may be used to allow BCM to contact you for "service administration purposes", this means that BCM may contact you for a number of purposes related to the service you have signed up for. For example, we may wish to provide you with password reminders or notify you that the particular service has been suspended for maintenance. You will not be contacted for promotional purposes unless you specifically agree to be contacted for such purposes at the time you submit your information on the site, or at a later time if you sign up specifically to receive such promotional information.

If you have submitted an email address, we may use the data to contact you occasionally for feedback on the BCM site in order to improve our service.

Disclosure
BCM does not sell or rent any personal information to any third party, other than our partners, as discussed in this policy. We may aggregate personal information from all of our users and provide that information in the aggregate to other parties, including advertisers, for marketing and promotional purposes. However, if we do so, that information will not be in a form that will allow any third party to identify you personally.

Your information will be disclosed where we are obliged or permitted by law. Also, if you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content BCM can use whatever information available to it about you to stop such behaviour including informing relevant third parties such as an Internet provider or law enforcement agencies.

Data protection

We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998
