Val d'Aosta |
Includes: Courmayeur, Champoluc, Pila, Gressoney, Cervinia, La Thuile
Gorgeous mountain towns and villages just add to the whole ski experience. Super-chic Courmayeur is a good base for gourmands despite limited pistes, and there’s plenty of action at all ski skill levels to be had across this linked area and over to Zermatt, including heli-skiing and boarding. Resorts vary too, from perennially festive, to large and functional to rustic, like Alagna.
